Pressure Treated Deck in Vernon NJ

For this project located in Vernon NJ, we completed a full resurfacing of an existing pressure-treated pine decks, giving the structure a fresh new look while reinforcing its long-term durability. The process began by carefully removing the old deck boards and railings to expose the framing below. Once open, we inspected the entire structure and checked all mounting hardware to ensure nothing was loose, missing, or compromised.

To protect the framing for years to come, we installed butyl joist tape across the tops of the joists. This important detail helps prevent moisture intrusion and reduces the chance of rot where deck boards meet the framing.

With the structure properly prepared, we installed premium pressure-treated pine decking for a clean, solid surface built to handle the elements. The new railings were also constructed from pressure-treated pine but designed in a more decorative porch-style layout that adds character and charm.

To complete the project and protect the wood, the entire deck was finished with Benjamin Moore Arborcoat® stain, providing long-lasting color and weather resistance.
